Matius 7:3-5

7:3 Why ¹  do you see the speck ²  in your brother’s eye, but fail to see ³  the beam of wood ⁴  in your own? 7:4 Or how can you say ⁵  to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye,’ while there is a beam in your own? 7:5 You hypocrite! First remove the beam from your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

Matius 23:23-25

23:23 “Woe to you, experts in the law ⁶  and you Pharisees, hypocrites! You give a tenth ⁷  of mint, dill, and cumin, ⁸  yet you neglect what is more important in the law – justice, mercy, and faithfulness! You ⁹  should have done these things without neglecting the others. 23:24 Blind guides! You strain out a gnat yet swallow a camel! ¹⁰ 

23:25 “Woe to you, experts in the law ¹¹  and you Pharisees, hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.
